The Pierre Cochereau Regional Conservatory of Nice
Founded in 1916 by the pianist Adeline Bailet, the "Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional Pierre Cochereau of Nice" celebrated its centenary in 2015. Directed by Thierry Muller since 2016, the establishment, located in the superb and recent building on Avenue Brancolar, is today recognised for the excellence of its artistic teaching in Music, Dance and Theatre, which places it in the top group of French conservatories. Each year it trains a large number of nationally and even internationally renowned soloists, dancers and actors. It has also developed a degree course in partnership with the Université Côte d'Azur, of which it is now a member. It animates the artistic life of its region and its city thanks to collaborations with other prestigious artistic establishments and regional higher education institutions. It also has an international influence, continuing to forge close links and share talent and knowledge with other centres of higher education.
