NEW - "Make your own mosaic" workshop
Become an apprentice mosaicist by making your own mosaic!

You can discover the many mosaics created by Marc Chagall throughout his life as part of the exhibition By glass and stone.Chagall in mosaic.Then, starting with a drawing inspired by the artist's mosaics, young and old alike can decorate their creation with coloured tesserae using stickers, recycled paper and felt cut-outs, to learn more about the mosaic technique presented during the visit.

Let our kamishibai tell you a few episodes from the adventures of the hero Ulysses !
Kamishibai is a Japanese storytelling technique that uses a small mobile wooden or cardboard theatre called a butai, inside which the storyteller scrolls boards illustrating the story. This small mobile theatre will tell you the story of Ulysses, the famous Greek adventurer, as the lithographs of Marc Chagall's Odyssey scroll past. The exhibition By glass and stone. Chagall in mosaic
from 24 May to 22 September 2025

For the first time, the musée Chagall is presenting a complete overview of the fourteen mosaic projects created by Marc Chagall, through numerous works and archive documents. Sketches and models illustrate the artist's research and creative process. Drawn from private collections and international institutions, the works are highlighted by an immersive scenography, with large-format photographs and tactile and interactive displays designed to help visitors discover this age-old technique.

This exhibition is co-produced by the GrandPalaisRmn, the musées nationaux du XXe siècle des Alpes-Maritimes and the Museo d'Arte della città di Ravenna (Italy).

Opening hours

Museum open daily, except Tuesdays, December 25, January 1er and May 1er.
November 1 to April 30 : 10am to 1pm and from 2:30pm to 5pm.
May 2 to October 31: 10am. to 1pm and from 2:30pm to 6pm.

Ticket sales end 30 minutes before museum closing time.

The admission ticket includes access to the permanent collection, and to the temporary exhibition.
