Our PARTNERS
L'Office de Tourisme de Vallauris Golfe-Juan
Picasso's history in Vallauris, where he lived from 1948 to 1955, is marked by encounters: with Suzanne and Georges Ramié, owners of la poterie Madoura, alongside whom he created, for over 20 years nearly 4000 ceramics that can be admired in museums around the world. With the then disused chapel of the château, whose vaults he decorated. Now the musée National Pablo Picasso, La Guerre et la Paix. With the people of Vallauris, to whom he gave the bronze statue "L'Homme au Mouton", one of the artist's few statues in a public square, as a thank-you for their welcome.
With love, Jacqueline Picasso, to whom he gave the bronze statue "L'Homme au Mouton", one of the artist's few statues in a public square With love, Jacqueline Roque, his last companion, whom he married in secret at Vallauris Town Hall. With friendship, Eugénio Arias, a Spaniard like himself, a hairdresser in Vallauris, whose shop can still be visited, decorated with lithographs he produced for exhibitions and events in Vallauris.
