The 22nd European Night of Museums, organised by the Ministry of Culture, will take place on Saturday 23 May 2026. A must-attend event, it enables people of all ages and backgrounds to visit more than 3,000 museums across France and Europe free of charge, in the evening and in a festive atmosphere.
Since its launch in 2005, the European Night of Museums has attracted large crowds to a growing number of museums every year. Its popularity with young people has been confirmed.
To mark the occasion, the teams at the Pablo Picasso National Museum and the Magnelli Museum are offering:
Torch-lit tours of Pablo Picasso’s War and Peace

Discover Picasso’s monumental work, *War and Peace*, in a unique way. Step into the darkness, equipped with a torch, and see this painting in a whole new light!

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Pablo Picasso explored the medium of ceramics. You will view works that still bear witness to his commitment to peace. The dove will guide you on your journey. Then, young and old alike will be invited to try their hand at working with clay. Everyone will be able to decorate their own piece and illustrate the theme of peace in their own way.

Museum Night opening hours: 7pm – 10pm
The museum is open every day throughout the year, except Tuesdays: from 10am to 12.15pm and from 2pm to 5pm.
From 10am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 6pm (from 1 July to 15 September)
