Guided tours on the first Sundays of the month

Some days until 5th July 2026

10:15 - 11:45

Audience type Adults, Teenagers

Every first Sunday of the month, our mediation team invites you to come and explore the world of Fernand Léger in the company of a lecturer: from his early Impressionist and then Cubist compositions to the works of the last years of his life. Aimed at adults and teenagers alike, these guided tours will help you to understand his love of the circus, the world of workers, objects, colour and the modern world, as you explore the works on display.

Current exhibitions :

Léger, painter of colour. New display of the collections
From 15 March 2025

Since the origins of painting, colour has been the prerogative of painters. Both matter and light, it was the starting point for the entire aesthetic approach of Fernand Léger (1881-1955). Throughout his work, the painter showed a real passion for pure colour, which he used in an infinite variety of combinations and variations, in a wide range of media: drawings, ceramics, stained glass, sets for the world of entertainment and architecture.

Karina Bisch. La Tête dans le décor
until 10 November 2025

The artist Karina Bisch is presenting a unique immersive installation in the Musée national Fernand Léger: murals, paintings and textile creations enter into dialogue with works by Fernand Léger chosen by the designer. At the crossroads of painting, design and architecture, Karina Bisch's work is inspired by the forms and colours of the twentieth-century modernist avant-garde, while adapting them to the contemporary world. Like Léger, Karina Bisch explores the potential of decorative motifs as ornament, but also as an autonomous language capable of reshaping our perception of time and space.
