Visits Creative workshops

Around the museum's permanent collection
Designed and led by guide Magali Passoni-Cartier, the creative workshop tours have been specially designed for children aged 4 and over, whether or not they are accompanied by their parents.

The themes covered are varied and adapted to the level and expectations of each group: the human figure, objects, landscape, the city or contrasting forms, various themes at the heart of Fernand Léger's work and linked to the current exhibition.

From 15 March 2025
New tour of the ‘Léger, painter of colour’ collections

After his early works, marked by the influence of Impressionism, Léger took part in Cubism in the 1910s and distinguished himself from the two pioneers of the movement, Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso, by his desire to introduce pure colour into Cubist works, which until then had been dominated by shades of grey, almost monochrome. Léger drew closer to his friend Robert Delaunay, with whom he waged an active battle to free forms and colours from the illusion of reality: ‘Before us, green was a tree, blue was the sky, and so on. After us, colour became an object in itself’. To find out more

From 5 April to 10 November 2025
An exhibition devoted to the artist Karina Bisch, La Tête dans le décor

The artist Karina Bisch is presenting a unique immersive installation in the Musée National Fernand Léger: murals, paintings and textile creations enter into dialogue with works by Fernand Léger chosen by the designer. At the crossroads of painting, design and architecture, Karina Bisch's work is inspired by the forms and colours of the twentieth-century modernist avant-garde, while adapting them to the contemporary world.
Like Léger, Karina Bisch explores the potential of decorative motifs as ornament, but also as an autonomous language capable of reshaping our perception of time and space. To find out more
