Around the permanent collection and exhibition Light Parade!

This winter, the museum is decked out in its finest finery with the presentation of original costume pieces,directly inspired by the work of Fernand Léger. Over-size coats with graphic and figurative compositions, ceremonial headdresses and masks borrowed from African cosmogony and jazz spirit, shirts and capes with geometric and abstract motifs, will make up this flamboyant haute-couture show. The fruit of the know-how and research work of the DN MADE students, the textile pieces, their preparatory sketches and models will propose an unprecedented dialogue with a selection of Fernand Léger paintings and drawings, from the museum's collection, having in common the reinvention of the language of lines and colors.
An exhibition organized as part of a partnership initiated in 2022 with the DN MADE (Diplôme National des Métiers d'Arts et du Design) mention spectacle spécialité costumes de scène, from Lycée Les Coteaux, in Cannes. Find out more about Léger Défilé !
Workshop theme: Costume creation
Participants, adults and children alike, will be able to play apprentice dressmaker in the museum's workshop, transformed for the occasion into a creative laboratory! Come and design your own costume or headdress, using a variety of techniques: drawing, embroidery, compositions made with pieces of fabric, etc.
Ages 8 and up.

PRATICAL INFORMATION
For all workshop visits, please book your slot, by clicking on the green button "Book your workshop visit at the museum". You will be automatically redirected to the booking platform of our partner Affluences (slots available only one month in advance).
Workshop duration: 2h
Every parent who registers is a parent who participates in the workshop(for children aged 4 and over). In order to respect comfort rules as much as possible, accompanying, non-participating parents are not allowed to stay in the workshop, the time of the activity. Thank you for your understanding.
