CYCLE OF 11 CONCERTS, FROM OCTOBER 2022 TO MAY 2023
by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Nice,
a co-production of the Opera of Nice and the 20th century national museum of the Alpes-Maritimes.
The Marc Chagall National Museum and the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra are continuing their long-standing collaboration: for more than twenty years, chamber music has resounded in the exceptional setting of the museum's concert hall opposite Marc Chagall's The Creation of the World stained glass windows.
This season, each of these concerts will feature a contemporary female composer. Early February, it will be the turn of the British Rebecca Clarke (1886-1979).
Programme of Monday 6th February 2023, at 8pm
- Paul Hindemith (1895-1963), Sonata for viola and piano, op. 11 No. 4 (1919)
- Nino Rota (1911-1979), Sonata in C major for viola and piano (1945)
- Rebecca Clarke (1886-1979), Sonata for viola and piano (1919)
