The presence of a theater in the museum was wished by Marc Chagall, lover of the music and the scenic arts.
He drew three stained-glass windows of The Creation Of the World wich bathe the room of their exceptional blue light. The scene welcomes a harpsichord, whose lid was painted in 1980 bye Marc Chagall.
In it prestigious case occurred in particular Olivier Messiaen, Yvonne Loriod and Mstislav Rostropovitch. The auditorium welcomes an annual program consisted among others of concerts, conferences and danced performances.
