OUR PARTNERS

The Tourist Office of Vallauris Golfe-Juan
Picasso's history in Vallauris, where he lived from 1948 to 1955, is marked by encounters: with Suzanne and Georges Ramié, owner of the Madoura pottery, with whom he created, for more than 20 years, nearly 4000 ceramics that can be admired in museums around the world. He decorated the vaults of the then disused chapel of the castle. Today it has become the Pablo Picasso National Museum, La Guerre et la Paix. With the population of Vallauris, to whom he offered, to thank them for their welcome, the bronze statue "L'Homme au Mouton", one of the rare statues of the artist on a public square.
With love, Jacqueline Roque, his last companion, whom he married in secret at the Vallauris Town Hall. With friendship, Eugénio Arias, a Spaniard like him, a hairdresser in Vallauris, whose shop can still be visited, decorated with lithographs he made for exhibitions and events in Vallauris.
