In the permanent collections
Journey through the works of Alberto Magnelli :
Alberto Magnelli painted on various mediums such as canvas, tar paper, fiber cement, and utilized numerous materials in his artworks, including wood, hardboard, and papers. In the 1940s, he adorned a set of stone school slates with his paintings. One of these small paintings served as a model for weaving a large tapestry, which is now displayed at the museum.
Observe the abstract design of these artworks and then weave your own beautiful tapestry using colorful yarns.
- for ages 8-16: Wednesday, July 28th, at 10:15 AM; Monday, August 14th, at 10:15 AM
Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes

Forms and Metamorphoses: Picasso's Ceramic Creations
Little and big creatures:
Fish, birds, goats, horses, bulls, and other animals, along with peculiar little insects, inhabit the ceramic decorations of Picasso. Seek them out and then shape an animal of your choice using a beautiful ball of fresh clay.
- for ages 4-6: Wednesday, July 28th, at 2:15 PM; Monday, August 28th, at 10:15 AM
- for families: Friday, July 16th, at 3:00 PM
Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes

In the Antique Style:
As a great scholar, Picasso often referred to ancient art. Here, you will find Etruscan, Greek, and Latin influences. Observe the colors, shapes, and motifs that have inspired the modern painter for over 2500 years, and then create a tanagra (a Greek terracotta statuette depicting young women or children).
- for ages 4-12: Friday, July 14th, at 10:15 AM; Friday, August 25th, at 10:15 AM
- for families
: Sunday, July 30th, at 3:00 PM
Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes

Characters, Flat or in Volume?
Picasso utilizes the volume of ceramics to create characters and animals, or conversely, erases them to use it as a canvas. Observe these artworks carefully and, in turn, decorate a clay biscuit to bring life to a character of your own creation.
- for ages 6-12: Friday, July 14th, at 2:15 PM; Friday, August 7th, at 10:15 AM
- for families: Sunday, August 27th, at 3:00 PM

Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes

Daytime (Diurnes):
It was Jacqueline that Picasso portrayed the most on ceramics, canvas, and paper. He also applied her profile to photographs of landscapes by André Villers. Observe these strange and poetic artworks, and then create your own stencil that will blend into a Vallauris landscape. If you'd like, bring a photo of a material (wood, fabric, leaves...) or a black and white printed landscape on an A4 sheet.
- for ages 6-12: Friday, July 21st, at 2:15 PM; Wednesday, August 9th, at 10:15 AM
- for ages 12-16: Monday, July 31, at 2:15 PM; Friday, August 25th, at 2:15 PM
Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes

Picasso / Ateliers Hugo: The Golden Men
Silversmithing:
Pablo Picasso decorated over 3600 ceramics during his years in Vallauris. In a chance encounter with a talented silversmith, François Hugo, he decided to have some of his plates reproduced in gold or silver. They were made in the same size or as miniatures to be turned into jewelry that he would gift to those close to him. Like the silversmith, use metal repoussé to give depth to your design and create a work with a thousand golden or silvery reflections.
- for ages 6-12: Monday, July 10th, at 10:15 AM; Friday, August 4th, at 2:15 PM
- for ages 12-16: Thursday, July 27th, at 2:15 PM; Monday, August 14th, at 2:15 PM
Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes
