Creative Workshop Visits
During the school year, creative workshop visits take place on Wednesdays from 2 PM to 4 PM.
Around the permanent collection and the exhibition "Pierrick Sorin: Le Balai mécanique"
As a video artist and director, Pierrick Sorin embodies a character in his videos, inspired by slapstick cinema and the poetic worlds of Georges Méliès and Jacques Tati. With humor and irony, he questions the meaning of our everyday lives. Since 1995, he has been creating "optical theaters" in which a virtual hologram - his miniature double - performs comedic scenes within a makeshift set made of real and fictional objects.
For the Musée National Fernand Léger, Pierrick Sorin has created an immersive video artwork that playfully incorporates the viewers while paying tribute to the modernity and aesthetic inventiveness of Fernand Léger's iconic film, "Ballet mécanique" (1925), a masterpiece of cinematic avant-garde. The mediation team offers creative workshop tours during the summer focusing on the following themes, common to Fernand Léger and Pierrick Sorin: set design, costume-disguise, machinery, animation (with gif creation), and the theme of divers.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
For any workshop visit, please make a reservation by clicking on the green "Reservation" button at the top right of this page. You will be automatically redirected to our reservation platform.
For the smooth running of the workshop, please provide your child with a T-shirt or protective apron. Workshop duration: 2 hours.
Every registered parent is a participating parent (for children aged 4 and above). To comply with social distancing rules, accompanying parents who are not participating cannot stay in the workshop during the activity. We appreciate your understanding.

Exhibition open every day except Tuesdays and May 1st.

Ticket sales stop 30 minutes before the museum closes.
The entrance ticket includes access to the permanent collection and a multilingual audio guide.
