Sanitary pass required to visit the museum

Since July 21rst 2021, a sanitary pass has been mandatory for visitors aged 18 and over to access to the museum.

In accordance with the decree no. 2021-955 (amending decree no. 2021-699 of 1 June 2021 prescribing the general measures necessary for the management of the end of the health crisis), a sanitary pass becomes mandatory for access to the Marc Chagall national Museum for visitors aged 18 and over.

Since 30 August 2021, the sanitary has been also mandatory for visitors aged 12 to 17. For more information



To access the site, visitors (from the European Union and outside the EU) must present proof of health to Covid:

  • a certificate of full vaccination *
  • or a negative RT-PCR or antigenic test less than 48 hours old
  • or a positive RT-PCR test result, at least 11 days old and less than 6 months old, attesting to the recovery of Covid.

AND an identity document: identity card, passport, driving licence or any other official document with the photo of the person concerned. 

Visitors from the European Union can present their EU-standard digital certificate of vaccination against Covid. 


These documents are presented in paper or digital format at the entrance of the museum.

These documents will be checked at the Marc Chagall National Museum at the entrance to the site. 
Visitors must present one of the above-mentioned documents AND an identity document: identity card, passport, driving licence or any other official document with the person's photo. 
This check will give access to the museum, the gardens and the snack bar. 

Access to the museum
At the end of this check, if the documents presented are in conformity, the visitor is granted access to the site. If the documents do not comply, we regret to refuse access to the site.


 


What is the sanitary pass? 

The sanitary pass consists of the presentation of a digital document or paper proof of health, among the following three:

  • Vaccination, provided that people have a complete vaccination schedule and the necessary time after the final injection, i.e:

          - 7 days after the 2nd injection for double injection vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca).
          - 4 weeks after the injection for single injection vaccines (Johnson & Johnson)
          - 7 days after injection for vaccines in people with a history of Covid (single injection). 

  • Proof of a negative test within 48 hours of an "activity health pass", giving access to the major events concerned.
  • The result of a positive RT-PCR or antigenic test attesting of the recovory of Covid-19, dated at least 11 days and less than 6 months ago.
